Keep an eye on interest rates, if  rates are being lowered by the Federal Reserve, call your credit card companies to ask that they lower your credit card’s interest rate. If you are a reasonably good customer, chances are that the company will grant your request. Skeptical: check this out, from the bankratemonitor.com site:  the results of a national survey conducted by the U.S. Public Interest Research Group in March 2002. Fifty consumers of all credit backgrounds called credit card issuers and asked for lower rates. More than half, 56 percent, scored lower rates.|
