Letters refuting the controversial Union-Tribune July 14th editorial that the U-T didn't want its readers to see

Union-Tribune Editorial "flawed by material omissions"

UCAN has learned that the same day Robert Kittle published his anti-UCAN hit piece in the Union-Tribune, a highly respected Price Law Professor, Dr. Robert Fellmeth, of the University of San Diego School of Law, sent a two-page letter of protest to the Union-Tribune's Editorial Board informing them that the Opinion was in error because of "material omissions."

The Union has refused to publish Dr. Fellmeth's letter, or for that matter, the reply of UCAN's Excecutive Director, Michael Shames. The reaction is understandable. San Diego's largest newspaper has clearly crossed a line in its financially reckless endorsement of the Sunrise PowerLink - a project that UCAN opposes. If built, the PowerLink will cost ratepayers over $1.7 billion while permanently scarring a cherished national park.
