Here's my suggested title for a new movie: The Incredible Shrinking Groceries! Find out why your grocery cart is easier to push these days and why you are getting less for your money.  

Tired of having to choose between 4 or five wireless carriers?   Well, AT&T is here to help --- their announced gobble-up of the competitor T-Mobile will help those customers who hate to shop for wireless service.    Oh, for the other 95% of customers who don't mind having shopping options, the loss of the fourth largest carrier in the nation is gonna hurt.  And perhaps hurt bad.

Cell phones, smartphones, and everything in between are more than just basic communication devices. Today we check our email, do our banking, collect information, watch entertaining videos, and pay for a number of services on top of the traditional uses of making and receiving calls and text messages. Because of all of these options the scams that have been plaguing consumers for years are still out there, but new ways of trying to deceive consumers are falling keep cropping up and scams from other mediums are appear on your phone as you use your phone for those purposes.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) wants to change the definition of basic telephone service and consumers have the opportunity to weigh in.

Today, Jan. 26th, is Utility Consumers' Action Network Day in San Diego proclaimed officially by the County Board of Supervisors this morning in recognition of UCAN's 25th anniversary.

The FCC recently sought comment concerning what actions need to be taken to ensure consumers of wireless, broadband, and video services are well informed about: the costs associated with the services; the contracts consumers must enter into; the charges for which consumers are billed; and the methods for resolving billing issues.
